Figma Launches Specs Editor and Agent Design Tools

Figma announced several new features at its first Config event in India, including Figma Specs, a Markdown-based editor that lets teams define their design language and serve as a reference for both human collaborators and AI agents. The company also moved its code layers feature to open public beta, allowing users to add code to canvas designs and ask agents to convert designs into code. Figma expanded its MCP support to over 20 tools and integrated its acquired headless CMS Payload with Figma Make. India is Figma's largest user market outside the United States.
