Phasis Builds World API to Orient AI Agents

Phasis Inc. has developed a platform called the World API to help AI agents orient themselves against real-world knowledge before executing tasks. Co-founder and CEO Brandon Farley explained that the company began by mapping culture using graphs and ontologies, then expanded that approach to multiple domains. The core product centers on a single endpoint called /orient, which returns relevant world frames including current state, material changes, evidence, and uncertainties. Farley argues that as AI reasoning scales rapidly, grounding agents in maintained, evidence-backed world models will separate leading enterprises from those still catching up.
