Wood Mackenzie Builds Shared AI Agent Platform on AWS
Wood Mackenzie developed APEX, a shared agentic platform built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, to solve a critical enterprise AI problem: only about 25% of organizations scale agents to production, and internally 88% of AI proofs-of-concept never reach wide deployment. The barriers are architectural, not model-related, including duplicated infrastructure, poor observability, and governance gaps. APEX gives every internal team a single runtime handling orchestration, safety, identity, memory, and observability, eliminating the need to rebuild foundations for each project. Built on AgentCore, the platform is model-agnostic, automatically scalable, and supports major open source frameworks, allowing teams to focus on business logic rather than infrastructure.
