Salesforce and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to enable AI agents to work seamlessly across both companies' ecosystems. The integration allows Salesforce's Agentforce agents to access Google Docs, Drive, and Slides, while Google's Gemini Enterprise can trigger actions within Salesforce's CRM platform. Key technical features include zero-copy integration with Google Lakehouse, native Gemini model support in Agentforce, and Gemini Enterprise embedded in Slack. The companies aim to eliminate what Salesforce calls the hidden toggling tax, reducing friction from switching between apps and removing the need to copy data between platforms.
