Caterpillar and CoreWeave accelerate construction AI training

Caterpillar and CoreWeave are working together to shorten the data feedback loop for autonomous construction equipment. Caterpillar holds about 18 petabytes of federated machine data, but executives say that is a fraction of what physical AI training demands, with a single machine generating terabytes daily. CoreWeave provides GPU capacity and embedded field engineers to help process perception and control data. Using Nvidia AI models to annotate incoming field data, a process that once took months has been reduced to hours, allowing simulation and training updates within the same workday.
