Okta Launches AI Agent Gateway, Forms 12-Vendor Alliance

Okta unveiled Agent Gateway, a runtime enforcement tool that sits between AI agents and the tools they access, logging interactions and enabling a kill switch that revokes all active tokens and sessions instantly. New features also include endpoint discovery for unmanaged agents, short-lived token authentication, agent-to-agent connection controls, and a visual configuration designer. Okta also co-founded the Blueprint Alliance with AWS, CrowdStrike, Google Cloud, Salesforce, and seven other vendors to build an open, multivendor AI agent security framework. The alliance expands Okta's March blueprint to include incident response protocols and interoperability testing across open standards, as Gartner predicts Fortune 500 firms will average 150,000 agents by 2028.
