Meta's new AI app Muse is outperforming ChatGPT's early mobile numbers, according to estimates from market intelligence firm Apptopia. Comparing iOS data in the U.S. and Canada, Muse recorded 1.8 million downloads in its first 12 days versus ChatGPT's 1.3 million, and has climbed to the No. 1 spot on the U.S. App Store. Muse also leads in daily active users, with 642,000 compared to ChatGPT's 231,000 at the same stage. Meta's established cross-promotion network across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp could further accelerate growth, mirroring the strategy that helped Threads surpass 500 million users.
