Lasso Security raises $30M, launches GPU-free AI guardrail
Lasso Security has launched LEAP, an AI guardrail that runs on standard CPUs without requiring graphics chips, and announced $30 million in new funding. The product returns verdicts in under five milliseconds at far higher throughput than existing guardrails, addressing cost barriers that force most enterprises to inspect only a fraction of their AI traffic. Lasso's platform uses two engines, routing most requests through the lightweight LEAP system while reserving a smaller model for complex policy decisions. Customers include BMW, eToro, Fiverr and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Revenue has grown over 500% in the past year, and total investor funding now exceeds $37 million.
