Microsoft Merges Sentinel Into Defender for AI Security
Microsoft has launched its Integrated Security Operations Center inside Microsoft Defender, consolidating security information and event management features from Microsoft Sentinel into a single platform built around AI agents. The move aims to close the gap between attackers using agent frameworks and defenders juggling disconnected tools. ISOC gives AI agents the same signals and controls as human analysts, with core workflows enabled by default. The public preview is open today for Microsoft Defender Suite, Microsoft 365 E5, and E7 license holders, though existing Sentinel workspace users are currently excluded. Pricing has not been disclosed.
