Databricks, Microsoft Extend Azure AI Partnership to 2030s
Databricks and Microsoft have expanded their strategic partnership into the 2030s, targeting enterprises building AI applications on proprietary data. Databricks will deepen its use of Azure infrastructure, including Microsoft's Arm-based Cobalt processors, while running core operations on Azure Databricks. Microsoft will integrate Databricks technology across Microsoft 365, Teams, Copilot, Power BI and other products. Key tools include Databricks Genie, an AI assistant linking users to business data, and Unity AI Gateway for centralized governance of models, agents and costs. Azure Databricks is already used by thousands of organizations globally.
