Databricks Buys Row Zero to Boost AI Spreadsheet Tools
Databricks has acquired Row Zero, a Seattle-based startup that built a spreadsheet editor capable of handling up to 1 billion rows of data. The deal price was undisclosed; Row Zero had previously raised $13 million.
Databricks plans to integrate Row Zero's technology into Genie, its built-in AI assistant, giving users a spreadsheet-based interface for data processing. Row Zero will also continue as a standalone product.
