Cisco Acquires Galileo to Boost AI Agent Trust
Cisco is acquiring AI observability startup Galileo Technologies to enhance its Splunk platform with advanced agentic monitoring capabilities. The deal aims to make AI agent workforces more trustworthy by adding real-time visibility, guardrails, and evaluation tools to detect failures before they reach users.
Galileo's platform covers the full AI development lifecycle, from prompt optimization to production monitoring. Cisco expects to close the deal by end of Q4, though financial terms were not disclosed. Existing Galileo customers will continue operating independently until the transaction is finalized.
