Cloudera, Vast Data Team Up to End GPU Starvation

Cloudera and Vast Data have announced a joint AI infrastructure platform called a unified AI factory, designed to solve GPU starvation by continuously delivering enterprise data to AI systems with high throughput and low latency. The platform combines Cloudera's data lakehouse architecture with Vast Data's AI Operating System, running both on-premises and in the cloud. The partnership addresses a critical bottleneck slowing enterprise AI adoption: existing data architectures cannot sustain the continuous pipelines needed for agentic AI workloads, leaving expensive GPUs sitting idle. The platform is available now, with industry-specific versions planned for the future.
