Jack Dorsey's Block has announced an AI model called Dessa, trained from scratch exclusively on human conversation data. To demonstrate the model, Block shared sample chats between Dessa and humans, with lead Ragavan Thurairatnam posting examples that can come across as awkward and uncanny. The conversations highlight Dessa's distinct approach compared to other AI models, reflecting its unusual training foundation rooted entirely in human dialogue.
