AWS Lands OpenAI as Microsoft's Exclusivity Ends

Amazon Web Services launched a major enterprise AI push, bringing OpenAI's most powerful models to its Bedrock platform alongside a new agentic developer framework, a desktop productivity tool called Amazon Quick, and an expanded Amazon Connect suite targeting supply chains, hiring, healthcare, and customer experience. The announcements came just 24 hours after OpenAI and Microsoft restructured their exclusive cloud partnership, freeing OpenAI to distribute products across rival providers. AWS CEO Matt Garman called it a huge partnership, noting customers had requested OpenAI models on AWS from the earliest days.
