Salesforce Buys AI Service Platform Fin for $3.6B

Salesforce announced it will acquire AI customer service platform Fin, formerly known as Intercom, for $3.6 billion. The deal is expected to close in the final quarter of Salesforce's fiscal year 2027, in early 2027. Salesforce plans to integrate Fin's technology and team into Agentforce, its enterprise AI agent platform. Fin CEO Eoghan McCabe confirmed he will remain in his role post-acquisition, with co-founder Des staying on to lead R&D.
