AMD Acquires Fei-Fei Li's World Labs for $8.2B

AMD is acquiring World Labs, an AI research lab co-founded by Dr. Fei-Fei Li, in an all-stock deal worth approximately $8.2 billion. Founded in 2024, World Labs reached a $1 billion valuation within months of launching. The startup released its first commercial product in 2025, a world generation model called Marble that allows users to create interactive 3D worlds from a text prompt.
