Orchid Security Tackles AI Agent Identity Governance Gap

Orchid Security has expanded its Identity Control Plane with three new tools to govern AI agents: Agentic Enrichment maps agents to their originating identities and permissions, Agentic Observability monitors access paths and delegation chains, and Agentic Guardrails enforces least privilege at runtime. The company also introduced a graph-native chatbot and chain-of-delegation auditing. Orchid argues traditional IAM cannot handle AI agents, which combine human reasoning with machine speed while inheriting authority across systems. Industry data shows two-thirds of enterprises already run agents in production, while 67% of nonhuman accounts remain unmanaged. The company, backed by $36 million raised in January 2025, warns agents accelerate existing identity exposure rather than create it.
