OpenAI Acquires Orchestra Bio for Biotech Push
OpenAI has acquired Orchestra Bio, a four-year-old AI biotech startup that raised around $20 million from backers including Andreessen Horowitz, Atria, and 8VC. Orchestra builds AI agents that help biotech firms manage drug-discovery operations, from tracking finances to handling clinical trial scheduling. OpenAI plans to integrate Orchestra's team and technology into Rosalind, its AI model for life sciences research, and the related Rosalind Workbench tool. Moderna and Novo Nordisk are already listed as Rosalind customers. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
