Nvidia PAIR turns home PCs into AI clusters

Nvidia has launched Personal AI Router (PAIR), a distributed clustering tool that lets users harness idle home computers to accelerate agentic AI workloads. Announced at IFA 2026 in Berlin, PAIR distributes AI subtasks across available GPUs on a home network, returning results to a main node for faster completion. The system supports LM Studio and Ollama front ends and works with GeForce RTX 20-series or newer GPUs, DGX Spark, and Apple M4-series Macs. PAIR automatically discovers devices, initiates model downloads, and dynamically redistributes workloads if a machine becomes occupied. A beta client is available now for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
