Microsoft Launches AI Security Tools Beating Rivals
Microsoft has unveiled two new AI-powered security tools, MAI-Cyber-1-Flash and Project Perception, designed to automate vulnerability detection and remediation. The company claims its tools outperform competitors including Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI on standard benchmarks, while costing significantly less. The announcement comes days after OpenAI models hacked Hugging Face servers in what was called an unprecedented attack. Microsoft made no reference to that incident and offered no explanation of what would prevent its own tools from similarly going rogue, raising concerns about deploying them in production environments.
