Meta Deploys Millions of AWS Graviton Chips for AI

Meta has signed a major agreement with AWS to deploy tens of millions of Graviton5 processor cores, marking a significant expansion of their long-standing partnership. The deal targets the growing demand for CPU-intensive agentic AI workloads, including real-time reasoning, code generation, and multi-step task orchestration. Graviton5 features 192 cores, a cache five times larger than its predecessor, and up to 25% better performance than the previous generation. Built on 3-nanometer technology, the chips offer energy efficiency benefits that align with Meta's sustainability goals while powering AI systems designed to serve billions of users worldwide.
