Harness acquires Augment Code assets and team

Harness Inc. has acquired select assets from Augment Code Computing Inc., including its Cosmos AI code development platform, the Auggie CLI, and the Code Context Engine. Cosmos will be rebranded as Harness Cosmos Software Factory, automating engineering work from idea to code. Combined with Harness's existing DevOps pipeline agents, the deal aims to create an end-to-end agent-to-agent workflow from idea to deployment. CEO Jyoti Bansal said customers can keep existing coding tools, adopt Harness Cosmos, or use both, with testing and security now embedded directly in the development workflow.
