Google Launches MPC Service for Crypto Wallet Security
Google Cloud is preparing to launch Google Multi-Party Compute, a service designed to help financial institutions secure clients' crypto wallets. Currently in private preview with major financial sector participants, the service uses multi-party computation to split wallet private keys into fragments stored across separate systems, making theft significantly harder. Users can customize how many key fragments are required to authorize transactions and split keys across Google Cloud, rival platforms, and on-premises hardware. Transaction compliance checks will run in Google's hardened Confidential Spaces containers. General availability is planned for early 2027.
