Google Launches Enterprise Agent Platform at Cloud Next

Google CEO Sundar Pichai unveiled the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform at Google Cloud Next, a tool designed for building and managing AI agents at scale. It competes directly with Amazon's Bedrock AgentCore and Microsoft Foundry, with a focus on IT and technical teams given security concerns and the tech's maturity in coding tasks. Business users are directed toward the separate Gemini Enterprise app for tasks like scheduling, file editing, and automating repetitive workflows. The platform supports Google's own Gemini models alongside Anthropic's Claude, including the newly launched Opus 4.7.
