Google Launches Agentic Data Cloud for AI Agents
Google Cloud unveiled its Agentic Data Cloud at Google Cloud Next 2026, a platform designed to replace static data repositories with a dynamic reasoning engine for autonomous AI agents. Built on three pillars, it includes a Knowledge Catalog to prevent agent hallucinations, a Data Agents Kit for developers, and a cross-cloud Lakehouse for borderless data access. The Knowledge Catalog scans company documents to build a shared source of truth, while new specialized AI agents handle data engineering, science, and infrastructure monitoring. A cross-cloud Lakehouse lets agents access data stored in AWS or Azure as if it were local, eliminating migration costs and latency issues.
