AWS Expands EVS to 22 Regions for VMware Migration
Amazon Web Services has expanded Amazon Elastic VMware Service to 22 regions, now supporting VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 and 9.1 on EC2 bare-metal infrastructure. The service lets companies run VCF directly within an Amazon Virtual Private Cloud while keeping existing VMware tools and practices intact. The top driver is data center exits, with customers needing rapid cloud migration as contracts expire. Unlike the managed VMware Cloud on AWS, Amazon EVS is self-managed, giving customers direct control over their environments without requiring application refactoring.
