UK Regions Share £500M Innovation Funding Boost

Regions across England and Wales will receive up to £20 million each through the Local Innovation Partnerships Fund, part of a wider £500 million programme to accelerate regional technology and industrial growth. Areas from Cornwall to Teesside will focus on existing strengths, including autonomous technologies, clean energy, agri-tech and advanced manufacturing. Northern England regions, including Hull and Tees Valley, will receive enhanced packages of up to £30 million for industrial decarbonisation. Local partners will collaborate with UK Research and Innovation to translate research into commercial outcomes, attract talent and create pathways to investment.
