Uber Deploys ChatGPT Work to All 30,000 Employees

Uber has expanded its OpenAI partnership, rolling out ChatGPT Work to its entire global workforce of 30,000 employees. The company originally piloted the enterprise AI tool with 1,000 workers across finance, operations, and product teams, with 80% of early adopters being non-engineers. Employees used it to analyze operational data, localize training materials, and build dashboards. Uber also ran two-week AI experiments pairing 30 engineers with various teams. The company has not disclosed costs and has not set fixed usage guidelines, instead allowing teams to experiment while tracking outcomes to guide future AI deployment.
