Tubi Becomes First Streamer Inside ChatGPT

Tubi, the Fox-owned free streaming service, has launched a native app within ChatGPT, making it the first major streamer to build a dedicated experience inside the AI platform. Users can install the Tubi app from the ChatGPT app store and use natural-language prompts to receive personalized movie and TV recommendations from its library of over 300,000 titles. The move marks a strategic shift for Tubi, which previously built its own in-house AI recommendation tool powered by ChatGPT before discontinuing it in 2024. The integration taps into ChatGPT's massive reach of 900 million weekly active users, as streaming platforms increasingly battle for viewer attention in a crowded market.
