Google Gemini 4 Argon Launches With New Tasks Mode

Google has brought its Gemini 4 Argon AI model to Pro and Ultra subscribers, two weeks after its debut for vetted cybersecurity users. Argon delivers more direct responses with less hedging and more frequent progress updates on longer jobs. A new tasks mode lets Gemini continue working after users step away, with access to over 40 connected apps including Instacart, OpenTable, Adobe, and Shopify. Developers can access Argon via the Gemini API at introductory rates until Nov. 30. Pro plans cost $19.99 per month; Ultra starts at $99.99.
