Tinubu Deploys 5,000 AI Cameras After Plateau Killings
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the deployment of over 5,000 AI-enabled CCTV cameras across Plateau State following deadly gun attacks in Jos on March 29 that killed innocent civilians. He directed security chiefs to identify and apprehend the killers, while Communications Minister Bosun Tijjani will oversee the camera installation, starting in Jos and expanding statewide.
Tinubu visited Jos to commiserate with victims' families, pledging government assistance and vowing the violence would not recur. He also directed the Humanitarian Affairs Minister to compile data on those affected, and approved recruitment of 1,000 forest guards for the state.
