Tether releases open-source on-device AI framework
Tether, best known for its cryptocurrency, has launched QVAC, an open-source AI software development kit enabling developers to build on-device AI features across iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux from a single codebase. The SDK integrates tools for text generation, image creation, speech-to-text and translation.
Built on decentralized peer-to-peer architecture, QVAC allows AI workloads to run without centralized servers, with nodes sharing the load if any single point fails. CEO Paolo Ardoino argued centralized AI cannot scale to a future with billions of autonomous machines and trillions of AI agents.
