TechCrunch Brings Startup Battlefield to Tokyo 2026
TechCrunch is partnering with SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, Asia's largest global innovation conference, running April 27-29 at Tokyo Big Sight. The event features 750 startups from 60 countries, 60,000 expected attendees, and corporate partners including Sony, Google, and Microsoft. TechCrunch's Startup Battlefield program manager will judge the flagship SusHi Tech Challenge pitch competition.
The Challenge drew 820 applications globally, with one Grand Prix winner receiving 10,000,000 yen and automatic entry into the TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield Top 200. The conference focuses on AI, Robotics, Resilience, and Entertainment, featuring speakers from Nvidia, AWS, and Applied Intuition, alongside Tokyo governor Yuriko Koike.
