Supermicro now plans storage alongside compute, partnering with Vast Data and ScaleFlux, while treating the AI factory as a single system with unified accountability. Full validation down to the component, rack, and cluster level is central to its approach. The company brought xAI's liquid-cooled Colossus-1 cluster online in 120 days using a dedicated tiger team.
