Stability AI Expands Audio Model to Arm Chips - Stability AI has optimized its Stable Audio Open model for Arm chips, allowing offline audio generation on mobile devices. Unlike apps that need cloud processing, this model uses a royalty-free audio training set, reducing IP risks. Showcased at the Mobile World Congress, it can quickly generate sounds like gentle ocean waves at sunset on an Armv9 CPU.
Though not yet downloadable, Stability plans future integration into consumer apps. After past financial struggles, the company is refocusing with new leadership and collaboration with Arm to enhance mobile optimization.
