SSI, Nvidia Strike $5B AI Compute Deal
Safe Superintelligence, the AI lab founded by former OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever, has announced a long-term partnership with Nvidia worth approximately $5 billion. The deal grants SSI access to Nvidia's Vera Rubin GPU platform, boosting its compute resources by an order of magnitude as the company scales its research. Founded two years ago, SSI pursues a safety-first approach to building artificial superintelligence without commercial product distractions. The company has raised $7 billion to date and is valued at $32 billion, with backers including Andreessen Horowitz, Alphabet, and Sequoia Capital.
