Sarawak Debuts AI Palm Scan for Senior Citizens

Sarawak has launched WaveJak, a contactless palm vein AI verification system for holders of the Kenyalang Gold Card and Senior Citizens Health Benefit. Developed by Socoe Sdn Bhd, the technology identifies users through unique palm vein patterns without requiring a phone, wallet or physical contact, making it Malaysia's first such system. WaveJak integrates with the KGC database, automatically applying discounts at partner outlets like Normah, PMG and Mydin. The system will initially be piloted in Kuching before expanding statewide, with scope and duration determined by success criteria.
