Perplexity Introduces Sonar API for AI Search - Perplexity has launched Sonar, an API service enabling enterprises to integrate its AI search tools into their applications. Sonar offers two tiers: the cost-effective Sonar and the advanced Sonar Pro, catering to complex queries. This service provides real-time, web-informed answers and customization of information sources.
Zoom and other companies are already using Sonar. Perplexity claims to offer the market's cheapest AI search API, aiming to increase its revenue, currently between $5 million and $10 million annually, after securing a recent $73.6 million funding round.
