Pennsylvania mandates labels on AI-generated ads

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro signed the Artificial Intelligence Deceptive Advertising Act into law, requiring disclosures on AI-generated advertisements. The law applies to still images, video, audio, and text ads that have been significantly modified or generated by artificial intelligence. Labels must appear in the same format as the ad itself. The requirement covers all advertisers, from large corporations running TV commercials to small businesses distributing local flyers.
