Palantir's AI Drives Unprecedented US-Israel Iran Strikes
Palantir Technologies' Maven Smart System has become central to Pentagon targeting operations during the US-Israeli campaign against Iran, compressing the military kill chain from days to minutes. Since Operation Epic Fury began February 28, the AI has helped generate hundreds of strike recommendations within 24 hours, with over 11,000 strikes conducted total.
The campaign is being called the first major AI-driven conflict, but it has not been without controversy. A US strike killed over 165 people, mostly children, at a girls' school in southern Iran, raising questions about AI misidentification. Palantir maintains that human commanders retain final authority over all strike decisions.
