OpenAI Strengthens Team with Crossing Minds Hire - OpenAI has recruited the team from Crossing Minds, an AI startup supported by Shopify and Index Ventures. Co-founder Alexandre Robicquet will join OpenAI in a research role, concentrating on AI agents and model enhancement. Financial details of the acquisition are undisclosed.
This move marks OpenAI's third acquisition this year, following the purchases of io Products Inc. and Windsurf Inc. Crossing Minds specialized in AI-driven product recommendations and developed tools for creating embeddings and retrieval-augmented generation features in collaboration with large language models, including OpenAI's offerings.
