OpenAI Launches Workspace Agents for Business Automation

OpenAI has introduced workspace agents, a new ChatGPT feature allowing business users to automate recurring tasks without constant human oversight. Powered by the Codex model, these persistent assistants connect to third-party apps, retain project context and execute multistep workflows across tools like Slack. Users create agents by describing a desired workflow in a new ChatGPT tab, then set them to run on a schedule or trigger. Currently in research preview for Business, Edu, Enterprise and Teachers subscribers, the feature is free until May 6 before shifting to credit-based pricing.
