OpenAI Launches UAE AI Data Center Project - OpenAI, together with Cisco, Oracle, and others, has announced Stargate UAE, a 1GW data center cluster located in Abu Dhabi. This initiative, part of OpenAI for Countries, aims to provide substantial AI infrastructure within a 2,000-mile radius, with 200MW expected to be operational by 2026.
The UAE will become the first nation to offer nationwide access to ChatGPT. This announcement coincides with Elon Musk's claim that xAI will build the world's first gigawatt AI training cluster.
