OpenAI Eyes Googles Chrome for AI Browser - During Google's antitrust trial, OpenAI executive Nick Turley expressed interest in acquiring Google's Chrome browser if it were for sale. Turley highlighted that owning Chrome could enable OpenAI to create an AI-first browsing experience. This statement emerged as the Justice Department aims to challenge Google's monopoly in online search, suggesting Chrome might be divested.
OpenAI has reportedly explored developing its own browser, having recently hired former Google developers involved in Chrome's creation.
