Oculus Founders Launch Conversational AI App Sesame

Sesame, co-founded by Oculus veterans, has launched a public iOS app featuring four distinct AI agents: Maya, Miles, Simone, and Charlie. The app addresses the tension between speed and thoughtfulness in AI responses by running parallel searches while speaking, allowing agents to weave in new information mid-conversation. The app, available in 39 countries and free for now, includes features like search cards, notes, texting mode, and incognito conversations. It marks just the first step in Sesame's broader vision, which includes intelligent eyewear planned for 2027 and future agentic capabilities that will allow the AI to take actions on users' behalf.
