Nvidia May Cosign Billions for Nscale Data Center

Nvidia is in talks to guarantee billions in debt financing for AI cloud provider Nscale's planned data center in West Virginia, which holds a $44.6 billion contract with Anthropic for its first building. Under a residual value guarantee, Nvidia would step in if Nscale defaulted, temporarily take over the facility, and find a buyer. Nscale, seeking a $35 billion IPO valuation, has struggled to deliver on its ambitions, with only 25,000 of a planned 500,000 chips deployed. Nvidia has already committed $1 billion in convertible financing to Nscale and extended roughly $170 billion in total support across the neocloud sector.
