Nvidia Launches First Full Robotic AI Safety Framework
Nvidia has unveiled Halos for Robotics, the industry's first comprehensive framework for building, testing and managing AI robotics safety systems. Agility Robotics became the first adopter, deploying the system in factories and warehouses for clients including Amazon, Toyota and GXO. The framework covers industrial-grade AI compute, safety software, sensor connectivity and an accredited AI Systems Inspection Lab.
The launch comes as humanoid robots move from pilots into active manufacturing supply chains, raising the safety stakes for workers. A Deloitte report identified safety as a key barrier to broader physical AI adoption, noting unpredictable machine behavior remains a serious risk. Nvidia is positioning Halos as a foundational safety standard ahead of the EU Machinery Regulation taking effect in January 2027.
