Nvidia Claims New Design Eliminates Data Center Water Use

Nvidia says its Rubin generation reference design for fully liquid-cooled data centers has eliminated massive power usage and nearly all water consumption. The company claims every major cloud provider and data center operator building for Rubin is making the transition. However, the announcement leaves key questions unanswered. Nvidia's blog post omits the cost of building liquid-cooled facilities compared to traditional air-cooled ones, and does not address environmental concerns tied to data center construction or the enormous power generation demands of these facilities.
