Nvidia CEO's Microduck demo sparks 20,000 preorders
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang played with a flock of Microduck robots during his GTC Berlin keynote, and the video went viral. The small robots walk, sit, fall over for a nap, and somersault on voice command. Within a day, preorders exceeded 20,000 units. Hugging Face's Clem Delangue predicted they could be the best-selling robot of the year, appealing to adults as well as children. Made by Pollen Robotics, a Hugging Face company now owned by Nvidia, the open-source Microducks were trained using Nvidia's technology and are expected to ship by Christmas.
